Your Questions, Answered

  • Hiking Yoga is a guided group hike combined with mindful movement, breathwork, and yoga-inspired stretching along the trail. We pause at scenic spots to flow, stretch, breathe, and ground - no pressure to perform, just a beautiful way to move in nature and connect with others!

  • Not at all! Hiking Yoga is beginner-friendly and all about accessibility. Movements are optional and adaptable. You’re always welcome to rest, modify, adjust your pace, or simply enjoy the scenery!

  • Most Hiking Yoga events last about 1.5 - 2 hours total, including hiking time, yoga breaks, a short closing meditation, and snacks at the end. We’ll hike about 3 miles and specific elevation/ terrain info will sent to each attendee in advance so you know what to expect.

  • The pace is gentle to moderate, with plenty of stops. This is not a race or a workout bootcamp - it’s a mindful, community-centered experience.

  • Locations rotate around beautiful East Bay trails (Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, and surrounding areas). Exact trailhead details are sent after registration.

  • Please bring:

    • Comfortable walking shoes or light hiking boots

    • Water

    • Layers (weather can change!)

    • Sunscreen + hat

    • Any personal medications or supplies you may need

  • No; mini yoga mats will be provided.

  • Wear breathable, flexible clothing you can hike and stretch in. Think: leggings, joggers, light jackets, trail shoes, or sneakers with good grip.

  • If conditions are unsafe (heavy rain, extreme heat, wildfire smoke, etc.), the event will be rescheduled or refunded. You’ll be notified by email and/or text.

  • Even if we are visiting a dog friendly location, please leave your fur babies at home for this event.

  • Yes. Events typically require a minimum of 5 participants to run and are capped to keep the experience intimate and safe.

  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the event receive a full refund or credit.

    Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable but may be transferable to a future hike.

  • Hiking Yoga is designed for adults. Teens 14+ may attend with a parent or guardian, depending on trail difficulty.

  • You may register by sending payment via Venmo (@Laura-D-Moir) or Zelle (510-409-2205) and please include your email address and phone number.

  • $25 for one.

    $40 for two hiking sessions.
